Seph has gotten kicked out of nearly every school he has been to, and for good reason. Disaster seems to strike wherever he goes, whether it be a rampaging fire that no one can explain or animals inexplicably out of control. When he is finally placed in a remote boarding school called the Havens, he learns that he is in fact a wizard, and so are many of the other students. Things change for the worse however when he learns that the headmaster is downright corrupt and has an evil plot to dominate the other magical communites. Soon Seph is caught in a magical and political whirlwind.

I didn’t think I would be able to say this, being that I adored the first book in this series so much: but I love this one even more! I really can’t say enough about this series or the authors writing style. The story is intense and very captivating. And once again the author throws a series of twists and turns that keep you guessing until the very end. Predictable is something this series is not. You will not be disappointed with this series, I’m telling you!
