“I am not the kind of person who just sits back and lets other people take all the risks!”

“This is why I chose Dauntless in the first place: not because they are perfect, but because they are alive. Because they are free.”

Whew! This book is certainly an emotional ride! It takes place immediately following the aftermath of the Erudite attack on Abnegation headquarters and follows Tris and Tobias as they salvage together what is left of the Dauntless faction and try and get to the bottom of what prompted the attack in the first place.

Basically, the action starts on page one and doesn’t let up for over five hundred pages. Espionage, danger, love, loss, betrayal, renewal, hope, these are all things that you will find within the pages of this book. You just end up caring SO MUCH for Tris and the rest of her friends and it is so amazing to watch her grow and transform as the story progresses.

Truly a great second book in a wonderful trilogy.

I would highly recommend this series to everyone. It’s simply phenomenal.
